The Chaos Theory examines systems with relatively simple structure but complex behaviour. The theory originated in the midseventies in the field of natural sciences and only two decades later its economic and sociological applications appeared. This selection intends to give a sample of the scientific achievements of the nineties.
The book demonstrates the applications of the theory in social sciences in two main blocks: some of the studies in the first part analyse certain theoretical problems of economics, while most of the studies in the second part rest on empirical measurements instead of models. Because of the information available and the particularity of the phenomena, the relation of money and capital markets with chaos is described in a separate chapter.
