The book focuses on control theory, control design and controller implementation tasks. Beyond the theoretical and methodological problems, application fields such as the modeling and control design of road and aerial vehicles, and even traffic processes are discussed. The subject of the book can be followed by the readers with B.Sc, M.Sc and Ph.D. levels of education in Transportation Engineering, Budapest University of Technology and Economics. The structure is based on the regular mathematical formalism used in systems and control theory. To improve the understandability of the book formal definitions and theorems are declared and only easy-to-follow constructive proofs are used. The results and proofs are cited accurately. The applications of the theorem and methodology are illustrated through a large number of examples, and in addition, tables of figures and examples help the reader.
