Eötvös Loránd Physics Contests have been organized each year since 1949 in Hungary for the senior students of the actual year of secondary schools. They have to solve three problems within five hours. This collection of exercises is not only the valuable legacy of Hungarian education but also an excellent drill ground for students of a later pure or applied scientific career.
